Alice Warley Ph.D.

Dr. Alice Warley is a former director of the Centre for Ultrastructural Imaging and Emeritus Professor of ultrastructural Imaging at King's College London. She has a long term interest in the application of electron probe X-ray microanalysis to biological specimens and has published widely in this field.

Barbara Hauröder (Ph. D.) Dr. Barbara Hauroeder is the Head of the Electron Microscopy Laboratory of the Central Institute of the Bundeswehr Medical Services, Koblenz. She is a member of the German and the European Society for Electron Microscopy and also of the Society for Ultrastructural Pathology and works both in diagnostic and research applications involving free living amoeba as a host and vehicle for infectious microorganisms including giant viruses. Her work is developed at the Bundeswehr Medical Service, namely the Department of Pathology and the Department of Dermatology at the Central Bundeswehr Hospital in Koblenz, Germany.
Guillermo A. Herrera M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Herrera is currently Chair of the Department of Pathology Translational Pathobiology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport and Laboratory Director of University Health.  He is an experienced nephropathologist/electron microscopist with over 40 years of experience.  He has over 30 years of research on renal damage associated with multiple myeloma.  He is also a Professor in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at LSU Health in Shreveport.
Dr. Herrera sits on multiple national panels and has been the invited guest lecturer in over 400 domestic and international venues.  He has authored more than 300 articles and chapters. 
John D. Shelburne, M.D. Ph.D Dr. John Shelburne recently retired from his position as Chief of Staff of the Durham VA Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and a member of numerous professional societies. He is an Emeritus Professor of Pathology at the Duke University Medical Center.
Kildare Miranda Ph.D Dr. Kildare Miranda is a Parasitology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry Researcher of the Instituto de Biofísica Carlos Chagas Filho, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and Vice-President of The Brazilian Society for Microscopy and Microanalysis (2014-2015)
Sara E. Miller, Ph.D. Dr. Miller is Professor and Director of the Research Electron Microscopy Laboratory in the Department of Pathology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, USA.  She established the EM Diagnostic Virology Laboratory at Duke, teaches medical, graduate, and postdoctoral students, and has published widely on electron microscopy and diagnostic virology.  Having served as President of the Microscopy Society of America and President of the Southeastern Microscopy Society, she is currently President of the Society for Ultrastructural Pathology.
Sherif Zaki, M.D., Ph.D Dr. Sherif Zaki is the Chief of the Infectious Disease Pathology Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He leads a multidisciplinary team that provides expertise in histopathology, molecular pathology, and ultrastructural analysis for detecting microbial agents and studying the pathogenesis of infectious diseases.
